Austin Bartos

GLANSIS Research Associate
Austin Bartos works with the Great Lakes Aquatic Nonindigenous Species Information System (GLANSIS). He develops and updates species profiles and maps to monitor the spread of non-native species throughout the Great Lakes region. Further, Austin uses ArcGIS to create maps and conduct spatial analysis on the occurrence of various non-native species in the Great Lakes at the NOAA Great Lakes Environmental Research Lab (GLERL) in Ann Arbor. When not reading publications and writing code, Austin enjoys discovering new hiking trails with his dog and brewing homemade beer.
