Chiara Zuccarino-Crowe serves as a Sea Grant liaison to NOAA in the Great Lakes. In this role, she works collaboratively around the region to enhance partnerships and program development among NOAA’s Great Lakes Environmental Research Laboratory (GLERL), NOAA’s Great Lakes Regional Collaboration Team, national and regional Sea Grant programs, and Michigan State University Extension. She also coordinates among the eight Sea Grant programs in the Great Lakes on regional issues that align with key NOAA priorities. Some of her recent focal areas relate to the Great Lakes blue economy, coastal and climate resilience, and ecotourism. Chiara is based in Ann Arbor at GLERL but also spends time in Michigan Sea Grant’s East Lansing office.
