What: The annual Michigan Green Communities conference showcases homegrown best practices through a series of presentations from local government and university representatives from around Michigan.

Where: University of Michigan – Flint Campus

Why Attend?: This event is an opportunity for a diverse network to gather and share ideas and resources related to sustainability at the local government level.

This year the themes are climate resiliency and collaboration. The first day will focus on statewide participation and peer-to-peer learning, highlighting examples with Flint projects. Presentation categories including administration and planning, the built environment, economic development and natural resources.

Michigan Sea Grant’s Josh Gunn and Amy Samples will be presenting on sustainable marinas and harbors and the green marina efforts on the 25th.
