DESCRIPTION:H.O.M.E.S. at Home webinar series\nLonging to take the family to the Great Lakes\, but not able to get to the shore? Then this series is for you! Join us for 5 fun-filled\, family-friendly videos jam-packed full of Great Lakes fun facts\, activity suggestions for your family\, and daily challenges. Each day we provide a high energy video that engages people of all ages in learning about the Great Lakes and activities you can do right at home! \nVideos will be live streamed\, and recorded for later viewing\, each day at 10:30am – 11am EDT. Videos start Monday March 23rd and will go through at least March 27th. DESCRIPTION:Join Michigan Sea Grant this spring for a FREE five-part film series about our incredible Great Lakes. Sponsored by Detroit Public TV’s Great Lakes Now and the University of Michigan Great Lakes Theme Semester\, the #LakeEffects series will feature fascinating documentary films\, short videos\, and Q&A sessions with subject matter experts. \nOn March 26\, join us for the third night\, focusing on the theme of “INVADERS.” The featured film will be Making Waves. The film will be followed by a Q&A panel with several Great Lakes scientists who study invasive species. \nTo make sure you can stay healthy while enjoying fabulous Great Lakes documentaries and short films\, all sessions of the #LakeEffects Film Series will now be streamed online ONLY! All films will now be livestreamed over Zoom\, starting at 7pm. Our guest speakers will be joining remotely as well\, so you’ll still get the full film series experience — with your own bowl of popcorn in the comfort of your home or office. \nWhile the on-campus screenings have been canceled\, it’s easy to join remotely.
