WHAT DOES GREEN INFRASTRUCTURE LOOK LIKE?

While green infrastructure is not a new concept, it can be difficult for marina owners or operators to understand how best practices such as permeable pavement or bioretention might be implemented in a marina setting. The “Ideal Clean Marina” project is meant to exemplify a marina that meets all best management practices applicable through a Clean Marina program. The Interactive Ideal Clean Marina Map takes this visualization tool a step further to allow users to virtually walk through a simulated marina, viewing several green infrastructure practices. This virtual experience will enhance a marina owner, operator, and patron’s understanding of various green infrastructure and best management practices in a marina setting: how they look, their purpose, and how they function.
