Mark your calendars and join us on Zoom for Will the beaches come back? Coastal change and recovery along Michigan’s shores following high lake level.
Our presenter, Ethan Theuerkauf, PhD, Coastal Geomorphologist and Assistant Professor in MSU’s Department of Geography, Environment and Spatial Sciences will share his research findings related to coastal change from fluctuations in the Great Lakes water levels. More specifically, we will learn about how our Great Lakes coasts respond to storms, changing lake levels, ice, and human disturbance and how science is used to both predict future coastal behavior as well as inform decision making.
Wednesday, February 19, 2025, from 6:00 – 7:30 PM via Zoom
