In previous “HABs 101” webinars, we learned about the basics of harmful algal blooms, the value of algae in aquatic ecosystems, and Michiganders who are tackling HABs in their inland lakes.
On March 10, we will look at The Power of Plants and discuss how to use plants to reduce nutrients and help prevent algal blooms in inland lakes and ponds. The free webinar will be held at 6-7:30pm on March 10, with time for Q&A with the presenters.
Topics will include the benefits of native plants in lakes, strategies for building a natural shoreline, and the role of rain gardens and other landscaping features.
