Do you work with 8-12th grade students? Are you looking for a fun and exciting STEM learning opportunity? Do you want to engage ALL of your students in real world science?
Then look no further then the aquaculture challenge! This fun event challenges teams to design and build a mini aquaponics system, monitor it over time, and complete a business or seafood outreach project with the system! The competition is hosted by Lake Superior State University and Michigan Sea Grant. Funding is provided by the Center for Great Lakes Literacy and the North Central Regional Aquaculture Center.
The competition runs from late January through Mid April, with the main build time being February and March.
