9 a.m. – Noon – 4-H and Community Families ProgramÂ
This program is open to all community and 4-H families.
First learn about local seafood and boat safety, then board the Inland Seas tall ship vessel for a 2-hour sail. During the sail we will rotate through stations learning about the vessel, the local river ecosystem, and more about fish! Activities on board will be appropriate for families with children and adults. We end shoreside getting to taste some of the local fish that was harvested right out of our local waters!
1:30 – 4:30 p.m. – Program for K-12 Educators and their Families
This program is open to all K-12 educators, both formal and non-formal.
First learn about boat safety, then board the Inland Seas tall ship vessel for a 2-hour sail. During the sail we will rotate through stations learning about the vessel, the local river ecosystem, and more about fish! Activities on board will be appropriate for families with children and adults. We end shoreside covering a number of teaching resources to help engage your classroom or youth audience in learning about the Great Lakes. Resources will be shared AND we will get to try some local tasty fish samples!
A limited number of $100 stipends are available to educators to purchase supplies to help implement your own Great Lakes themed programing.
Space is limited for each trip.

This program takes place on the Inland Seas tallship vessel and will include a two hour sail on the St Marys river. Docking location to be sent after registration .
