Jim Diana, director of Michigan Sea Grant, and Mary Bohling, Michigan Sea Grant southeast urban extension educator, met with congressional staffers in Washington D.C. during last week’s Great Lakes Week.
A photo of Diana and Bohling were featured on the front page of the University of Michigan Record Update. The representatives of Michigan Sea Grant spoke with legislators about a variety of issues focused on the Great Lakes and Michigan Sea Grant work. Dredging, lake levels, economic impact and development and the Great Lakes Restoration Initiative (GLRI) funding were hot topics.
