Last year, Michigan Sea Grant received a record number of applicants for the various fellowship opportunities in which the program participates. Two were selected to move forward in the Knauss Fellowship program. Clarence Fullard and Chiara Zucharino-Crowe will be starting the Knauss Fellowship in Washington D.C. in February 2014.

After a week of interviews during early November, Knauss Fellows are given their placements, finding out which office and in what capacity they will be working.

Clarence will be an Invasive Species Analyst with the National Marine Fisheries Service. Chiara will focus on travel and tourism strategies at the Office of National Marine Sanctuaries.
